Join Heather, Stephanie, and Michelle as they discuss how the High King of the Lamanites sent out a proclamation that no one should persecute the missionaries Ammon, Aaron, Omner, and Himni. The king emphasizes that "they might be convinced that they were all brethren" (Alma 23:3). The conversion and laying down of weapons by the Lamanites who call themselves Anti-Nephi-Lehies. The A-N-L were not converted to the missionaries, but were truly converted unto the Lord. How the Lord compensates the faithful for every loss. With God's strength, we can do all things. What do we love about God? What are we frustrated about? Making a choice, then asking the Lord for confirmation. Just like the Anti-Nephi-Lehies waiting for the Nephites to decide if they'll let them live on the borders of their land, have faith if you're in a waiting place right now.

Join Heather, Stephanie, and Michelle as they discuss Ammon's missionary work in the land of Ishmael and the conversion of King Lamoni and his wife, the hidden testimony of Abish, how the separation of church and state in Zarahemla allowed the Lamanites to join the church without becoming subservient to a Nephite king, how a person doesn't need a church calling or invitation or even good health to be an instrument in God's hands, example of the sons of Mosiah in fasting and praying, praying to reach out to the one, being patient in afflictions, how sometimes tribulations are for our benefit, how being stretched by the Lord can help us grow, how the Lord consecrates our trials for our gain, and how God does love us. Join Heather, Stephanie, and Michelle as they discuss Alma and Amulek's teachings of the holy priesthood, when Alma and Amulek are thrown out of Ammonihah, Zeezrom's conversion, how we should rather than get angry with God--get close to God, how to trust the Lord, how the will of the Lord is a vital principle, no one can help you without faith and effort on your part, having faith in the Lord's timing, keeping your faith when you're not healing, do we have faith to NOT be healed, how to let go and move beyond our guilt so we can be an instrument in God's hand, and believing in the redemption of Jesus Christ. Join Heather, Stephanie, and Michelle as they discuss Alma the Younger's discouraging visit to Ammonihah, including: how the angel tells him to rejoice anyway, how Amulek reminds his people of their birthright and associate privileges, how Alma and Amulek testify together as multiple witnesses, how the doctrine of the Lord is taught frequently and often, how we can soften our hearts to understand the mysteries of God, how sometimes people are unnamed in the scriptures but are still important, and how often angels appear in this scripture block. Elder Holland reminds us to "search diligently, pray always, and be believing, and all things shall work together for your good" (Doctrine and Covenants 90:24), and how we can ask for heavenly help in our own lives. Join Heather, Stephanie, and Michelle as they discuss how the "book of life" is recognized in Judaism, Christianity and Islam, as a book in which God records the deeds of the faithful, whose names are recorded, as well as an account of their righteous deeds; we can ask ourselves the questions in Alma 5 and see if there are things we need to work on, how envy can affect our lives and create a demeaning view of God, how we should count our blessings, humble ourselves, and serve others. What does humility actually mean and what are the companions of humility, and are we recognizing our relationship with the Lord? Here are some of the cited general conference talks for your further study: The Other Prodigal, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, April 2002; The Laborers in the Vineyard, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, April 2012; Peacemakers Needed, President Russell M. Nelson, April 2023; The Merciful Obtain Mercy, President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, April 2012.

Join Heather, Stephanie, and Michelle as they discuss the difference between priestcraft and priesthood, why Alma the Younger abandons the Chief Judgeship to teach the gospel to the Nephites, how the judgments of God are always just and the judgments of men are not, how persecution comes in many forms, how the spirit will not fail us, sometimes our answers come as a small ray of light and we don't have to wait for the pillar of light to receive a confirmation. Join Heather, Stephanie, and Michelle as they discuss the flight of Alma the Elder to the Waters of Mormon and how he establishes the church, becoming a witness of Christ at all times, not being afraid to speak about our beliefs, how to present our whole self to others, relying on the Spirit to teach us righteous family patterns, moving forward in the face of criticism, paying our deductible in consequences versus what the Savior pays for our salvation, and how praying can ease our burdens. Join Heather, Stephanie, and Michelle as they discuss how King Mosiah sent Ammon to track down the Nephites who left to find the land of Lehi-Nephi, how Ammon teaches Limhi's people about King Benjamin, then we flash back in time to find out about Zeniff's people (Limhi's grandfather), how to be careful with our skepticism, the influence we have on our children and future generations, how lack of our own character prevents us from understanding God's character, how the Lord wants to save us and won't abandon us, why we should serve the Lord with diligence of mind, how the Lord can deliver us from bondage, and how effectual struggle means a struggle that has an effect (a purpose).
